4. It looks cheap – Yes, the suits in this department are cheaper than they are in Women’s department, but guess what? They also look cheap. Now is the best time to get “grown up” suits at junior department prices. Stores are preparing for the fall arrivals so almost everything is on sale.
3. It is too tight – There is a difference between an outfit that fits and one that is too tight, but for some reason in the juniors department these two things seem to go together. If it isn’t too tight then it does not fit. From personal experience (yes we have tried it unsuccessfully numerous times) going up a size does not alleviate this phenomenon. Going up a size to give yourself a little more room only gives you a suit that is still trying to hug your humps as it was made to, but hanging off everywhere else. The end result = sloppy (which is just as bad as too tight).
2. It is too short – When you tried it on did you have to think about whether or not it was a little too short? Let us help you so you won’t have to ask again. It is definitely too short.
1. You are GROWN! –We know going to work every day makes you long for the leisurely days of college, however your wardrobe is not the place to be nostalgic. At what point do you plan to upgrade to adult status (at least when you are at work)?
We do recognize that some of the higher end retail stores (i.e. Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus) have what is called a contemporary department. If you want to compare it to a Macy’s or Dillard’s the contemporary department would be between the juniors and women’s departments. Not quite for the teenagers, but not quite into the “super” grown up phase. This department is where you would find brands like Nanette Lepore, Theory, Diane Von Furstenberg and Rebecca Taylor. All of which have lines of professional attire that is safe from the juniors department must be tight to be just right phenomenon.
Here are a few examples of some of the great deals that are out there right now to help you upgrade your professional wardrobe.

btw your email bounced back for some reason.

I like to shop vintage for my office-wear! Some of the classier shops online (my favorites are Violetville Vintage and Hollywood Classics) actually offer clothing for adults (as opposed to the thrifty boho styles of a lot of the ebay sellers).
